Celebrate Earth Day

An event inspired by the Zero Waste Kids book, featuring activities from the book (including a clothing swap, DIY t-shirt bags, and windowsill gardening).


Girl Scouts learning zero waste

The girls practiced a trash audit with trash they brought and created signs for recycling and composting to hang up at home!

April Hepokoski is a contributing author of Zero Waste Kids. She is the founder of The Little Barnyard Preschool LLC, a local zero-waste, nature-based preschool on her hobby farm in Esko. Her blog, Zero Waste Nature School, is filled with tips and tricks she has learned while running a school near zero waste. She is also the founder of the community group Zero Waste Duluth where she inspires others to live a more sustainable and environmentally friendly life. www.zerowastenatureschool.com

Rob Greenfield is an activist and humanitarian dedicated to leading the way to a more sustainable and just world. He embarks on extreme projects to bring attention to important global issues and inspire positive change.
